Attendance Policy
• Attendance will be taken at the start of every online session.
• If a student is missing, a message will be sent to the attendance office.
• The attendance officer, Principal, and Teachers will have shared Google Sheet with the student rosters for recording attendance.
o At the start of each online session, teachers make a quick mark if a student is present/absent. This will help the administrator see attendance throughout the day.
o If a student misses class later in the day, someone can reach out to the parents. Even if it is internet connectivity issues, at least the parents are aware that the school is watching and that the expectation is for every student to be present.

Standard Based Grading
• All core subject and elective lessons are CA Standard Based
• Students will be assessed on mastery of the standard taught
• Teachers will assign projects based on the learning standard and cross curriculum design
• Small groups will allow teachers to work closely with students and meet their needs
